Meet the Team: Emily Bailey

What is your name? Emily Bailey

What is your role at South Bristol Youth? I am the Business Manager for the charity, which is a very varied role, with something different every day! Supporting with the development of the charity, managing the office team, and recruiting new staff are just some of my responsibilities, but I have also worked with the post-16 students at some of our South Bristol schools, supporting them with their applications to university and apprenticeships.

What is your favourite part of your job? I love the fact that every day is different and that my role is so varied. However, before I was the Business Manager I worked directly with students as a mentor, and I love the parts of my role that allow me to continue with this, including supporting at events that my colleagues are delivering.

What animal would you be and why? If I was an animal, I would be an owl! I love learning and I love sharing my learning and wisdom with others; however, I wouldn’t be nocturnal as I also love to sleep at night!
