University Open Events – should you visit?

If you’re considering going to university some day or want to find out if it’s the right option for you, October is the perfect time to explore your options and investigate in person.

Open Events give you the chance to experience university life first-hand; you can check out their facilities, ask questions about the course and activities on offer, explore the campus and local area, and meet current students and staff. Many universities are hosting Open Events this month – you can use UCAS’ search function to find out when and where these are being held: University Open Days | Visit Universities and Colleges | UCAS

If you are local to Bristol, Bath or Somerset, there is a range of nearby universities who are hosting Open Events throughout the year, listed below.

• University of the West of England (UWE) – Open Day Saturday 12^th October
• BIMM Music Institute – Open Day Saturday 12^th October
• University of Bristol – Open Day Saturday 26^th October
• University of Gloucestershire – Open day Saturday 19^th October, Saturday 9^th November
• Bath Spa University – Open Day Saturday 19^th October, Wednesday 6^th November, Saturday 30^th November, 11^th January 2025
• University of Bath – Open day Friday 13^th & Saturday 14^th June 2025
